Content & Moderation Policy
Last updated: 17 September 2026 · What students may upload, and how review, reporting, strikes and bans work
Students upload chapter texts, exercise questions, Q&A papers, handwritten papers and registration photos. This policy explains exactly what is allowed, what is forbidden, and how PakStudent reviews everything.
1. What may be uploaded
- Chapter text (Box 1 on the chapter page) — the real text of your textbook chapter, pasted or as a .txt file, so the AI can read and store it;
- Exercise questions (Box 2) — the exercise of that chapter, so the AI can solve it with detailed answers from your chapter;
- Your own study material — notes you wrote, past papers, Q&A papers;
- Your handwritten solved paper during a test (photo) for +10 handwriting marks;
- Full-book uploads for the Rs 1,000 Upload Reward;
- Registration photos — a clear student photo (girls may use their father's photo) and the father's CNIC photo.
2. What is NOT allowed
| Forbidden | Examples |
|---|---|
| Illegal or immoral content | Adult content, violence, hate speech, sectarian material, gambling |
| Bullying & harassment | Attacking or mocking another student, teacher or school |
| Fakes & impersonation | Fake CNIC, someone else's photo, pretending to be another student or an admin |
| Rights violations | Whole copyrighted guidebooks uploaded for public sharing; other people's work presented as yours |
| Spam & promotion | Advertisements, links to other websites, repeated junk uploads |
| Gaming the rewards | Copied, fake or tiny "chapters" submitted only to claim rewards |
3. How moderation works — step by step
- Automatic holding: every upload (chapter, exercise, paper, book) starts as pending. It earns no reward and is not treated as verified until reviewed.
- Admin review: a human admin opens the Uploads queue and approves or rejects each item. Rejected items are deleted and the student can see the status.
- Reporting: any visitor can report a public topper listing or content with the Report button. Reports appear in the admin Reports queue with the reason given.
- Strikes: policy violations add strikes to the student's account. Strikes are visible to admins and accumulate across the account. 10 strikes = permanent ban.
- Immediate bans: serious violations — illegal content, fraud, hacking attempts — can be banned without waiting for 10 strikes.
- Unban: only an admin can unban, and doing so clears the strike history.
4. Rewards and moderation
The Rs 1,000 Upload Reward is paid only after an upload is approved. Fraudulent uploads — copied content, fake pages, or uploads that are not a real full book — are rejected and earn strikes. The same honesty rules apply to the Rs 5,000 Book Award and Rs 10,000 Board Gift.
5. Photos of people
Registration photos are used only for identity verification and stay on the student's own device. Topper photos appear publicly only for students who earned a topper listing (40%+ pass mark), and parents can ask us to hide a listing at any time through the Contact page. CNIC photos are never public, ever.
6. Appeals
Think an upload was rejected or a strike given by mistake? Email support@pakstudent.com from your registered email, explain what happened, and an admin will re-review. Appeal decisions are final.
